Kitetrips in Neretva, Croatia 2024
A great place for your active summer vacation by the sea. Neretva is the nearest spot from us with reliably functioning thermals.
There are two spots in the place – a smaller one right next to the campsite and a large, completely exclusive Komin spot. The best conditions with a very high certainty of wind are here from about mid-June to the end of July. And that is exactly the period in which you can fully enjoy kiteboarding with us!
The thermals here work regularly at 8 – 12 m/s between 1 – 7 p.m., so no early alarm clocks, you have time to relax and prepare for performances on the water all morning.
Spot Komin – you drive offshore, there is a shoal for about 400m near the shore and the Neretva River flows behind you, creating a sandbar with shallow water extending into the open sea for about 1km. You ride in shorts and if you feel hot, you can cool off in the fresh water of the Neretva. And for those who have a dry throat, kitebeach is lined on all sides by a bar.
Accommodation is possible at our base in the Rio campsite, where we have rented a large space for clients (own tent or dwelling). And if you want a bed, there are plenty of options in the village of Blace at very reasonable prices.
Food – there is a possibility to grill something in the camp (fireplace grills, fridge), for those who don’t want to cook, there are pubs and restaurants in Blaca (walking distance from the camp).
Before it starts to blow (or if exceptionally it doesn’t blow or Bora comes) – the camp is located right on the sandy beach, where mainly locals go (there are a minimum of tourists). However, if you would like to speak Czech, the Makarska riviera starts about 12 km as the crow flies. You can go on bicycle trips around the area, both on the plain of the Neretva delta planted with melons and other vegetables, and in the surrounding hills. Rides on paddleboards on the Bacinsky lakes with clear, warm water are very pleasant.
Also around the corner is the ancient city of Mostar (an hour by car) and Kravica waterfalls (even closer than Mostar). And the world-famous Dubrovnik – 1.5 hours south by car.
If you plan a one-week or even two-week kiting vacation on the Neretva, you will definitely not be bored, there are plenty of options.
Prices:
Kite Rental – For Kite, Trapeze, Leash:
2,000,- CZK / day (+ spot fee approx. 10 euro / day)
9,500,- CZK/week (+ spot fee approx. 10 euro/day)
If it doesn’t blow for at least 5 days, we will calculate the price per blowing day, i.e. CZK 2,000
A week is thought of as a calendar week, i.e. 7 consecutive days.
Course (Including All Fees & Equipment) – 4,500,- CZK/day
COURSE FOR BEGINNERS – 16,500,- CZK/ week – 7 days on the water with an instructor in a pair// 10,000,-CZK/ 3 days on the water with an instructor in a pair
(if it doesn’t blow for at least 5 days, we will calculate the price per blowing day, i.e. CZK 4,500)
ADVANCED COURSE – 13,500,- CZK/ week – 3 days classic course with an instructor in pairs, according to your skill level, 4 days rental with supervision from the water/beach (if it doesn’t blow for at least 5 days, we will calculate the price for a day of wind, i.e. CZK 4,500). A shorter course format can be arranged individually.
Daily 3 – 4.5 hours in the water in pairs + as needed theory and video coaching. Individual course (one student – one instructor) – additional fee of 20% of the price of the selected course.

You can come to kite courses and trips from June 21 to August 3, 2024, the dates July 20 – July 27 are booked for Junior Kitecamp
Camp price:
480,- CZK/night per person. If a larger space is required, e.g. with a residence, an individual agreement is possible.
